Shooting Terms and Conditions

Anglia Sporting shoot over large acreages, predominantly in Suffolk and Norfolk for all types of quarry including, game, wildfowl, pest species and deer. We organise and participate in all types of shooting and will put together team days as well as offering individual guns the opportunity to join a group.

Game is defined as partridge, pheasant, woodcock, snipe, golden plover, hares, coot and moorhen. Wildfowl is defined as ducks and geese. Pest species are defined as pigeon (wood and feral), collared doves, corvids (crows, rooks, jackdaws, magpies and jays), rabbits and foxes. If seasons apply nothing is to be shot outside those seasons. No protected species of birds or mammals are to be shot and it is the guns responsibility to ID correct quarry. Suitable lead or non-toxic cartridges are to be used depending upon quarry type.

Shooting is either driven game, rough/walked up, hide shooting, stalking (walking or high seat) or lamping.

Depending upon the type of shooting taking place numbers are for a minimum of 2 guns to a maximum of 10 for game, wildfowl or pest shoots but may be more on hare drives and the like. Depending upon the shoot type gun numbers may be made up at the discretion of Anglia Sporting.

It is each ‘guns’ responsibility to ensure that they are shoot experienced, competent, that the generally recognised shooting etiquette is observed and above all that they are safe in their gun handling and operation. Novice/inexperienced guns must make this fact known to Anglia Sporting before booking their shooting day.

All ‘guns’ must carry full third party liability insurance cover and/or be members of a recognised UK shooting/field sports organisation that provides such cover as part of the member package and be in possession of a current Shotgun Certificate/Temporary Visitors Permit. No liability of any claim will be accepted by Anglia Sporting. It is the ‘guns’ responsibility to insure against shoot cancellation.

We request that guns forward the relevant documents, SGC and BASC or similar membership details for insurance purposes, prior to the event in order for them to be checked.

Invoices will be issued for all shooting and prices include VAT. In most instances, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required within 7 days of booking to secure the date/s and the balance is payable 1 month prior to the event. Any additions to be settled immediately after the event. If having booked an event guns are unable to attend they have the option of sending a responsible replacement who complies with these terms or of forfeiting any payment/s made. You book it, you pay for it.

Anglia Sporting will endeavour to meet bag expectations but no guarantees are offered or implied. Especially when shooting wild birds many factors must be taken into account and most are outside the control of Anglia Sporting. Bag numbers are dependent on many factors, not least the weather and the guns abilities. A general guide is applied to the number of shots fired at a ratio of 3:1. It is Anglia Sportings intention to give the best sport possible in enjoyable surroundings and to ensure that each person has equal opportunities to participate. We will work hard and endeavour to provide enjoyable sport; we’d like you to return.
