Anglia Sporting - for the Ultimate Sporting Bird...

Duck Shooting and Deer Stalking

All our shooting is conducted locally within the county of Suffolk.

As well as all year round pigeon shooting we also offer ,during the relevant seasons, game (pheasant and partridge) shooting, wild duck flighting and deer stalking. We cater for individual requirements so please enquire as to how we might tailor a specific day for your group.

For game shooting we offer either formal driven days from 60 bird bags to 300 plus bag days for either 8, 9, 10 or even a dozen guns.

Rough/Walked Up Shooting
Our rough/walked up days usually consist of 4 to 6 guns with two/three dog-men. We shoot the boundaries and ‘dead’ areas of driven game shoots and sporting farms for all legal ‘furred & feathered’ quarry but predominantly, game, wildfowl, pigeons, rabbits and hares with the occasional Woodcock, Snipe, and maybe the odd Goose. This is walking shooting and you need to be reasonably fit to cover a lot of ground during a day’s sport. Bag numbers vary but we attempt to shoot between 30 to 45 head depending upon the number of guns and the bags, which are not guaranteed, will be mixed.

For duck shooting we emphasise the ‘wild’ as our flight ponds are designed for Teal, Mallard, Pintail, Widgeon and other ‘wild’ duck. We do not shoot bred mallard. We organise a limited number of events shooting on early morning flights or a far wider range of evening flights throughout the season. Flight ponds are available for 2 guns up to 8 as required.

At certain times of the year we also organise rabbit shooting either bolting over ferrets, ferreting with purse or long nets or lamping at night with rifles.

Deer stalking is mainly for ‘cull’ beasts but if required we can also arrange a limited number of ‘trophy’ opportunities. The stalking areas contain good numbers of Fallow, Roe and Muntjac and it’s not unusual to also find Red Deer on occasion. East Anglian Reds are among the largest beasts in the UK. All stalking is conducted with fully qualified guides and may include ‘high seat’ shooting. All guns are required to prove prowess prior to stalking.

With all these opportunities we can offer shoot breakfasts, shoot lunches and shoot dinners to suit individual tastes. Should you require accommodation either prior to or following a shooting day we can also arrange that to suit.

Early booking, especially for groups of guns, is essential to guarantee days and we recommend you talk with us about the various shooting opportunities we have well in advance of any planned visit. For pigeon shooting bookings are taken anything up to 3-4 months in advance but for other events a minimum of 6 months prior to the season is advisable. As all these events are ‘tailored’ to clients requirements please contact us for prices.
